Giving Thanks & Giving Life-Changing Services for Children In Need

One parent shared the excitement of her adopted child for his new guitar, donated through Love Learning Music, and the need for consistent music therapy. Sadly, the families that benefit most from music therapy cannot afford the cost of the service. It’s the generous donations from our supporters that allow children in need to get the therapy, education, and resources they need. Who Are We Giving To?

It takes a village to raise a child; together we are giving to children in need who are enrolled in Love Learning Music programs, and hopefully those on the waitlist as well! Our non-profit is actively serving everyone we can with specialized and adaptive education and therapy services. Through our 1-on-1 and group music therapy programs, sensory sessions at local libraries, singable books for elementary and pre-k, adaptive education for schools and non-profit partners, mentorship music lessons, and advanced rock band programs we are providing life-changing impact for over 2,000 people year over year!

This Season of Giving, 100% of donations are directly funding these programs. Our programs are empowering children in need to receive the adaptive services that help them develop social and emotional skills, academic success, and healthy relationships. Thank you for being a part of the positive transformation that our therapists and teachers are seeing through our unique programs. Your giving contributes to helping children like Daidrian and Alaya who have been benefitting from Love Learning Music for more than 3 years; receiving much-needed music therapy, musical instruments they call their “safe zones”, support for their adoption process, and mentorship that helps them know they are loved and learn the life skills they need.

What Impact Does Giving Have?

Can you think of a time in your life when a mentorship moment changed everything for good? How did you feel? Confident, safe & secure, excited, happy, optimistic? Hopefully, we can all pinpoint defining moments in our lives that are marked by mentorship and result in a better trajectory in life. This is the positive impact of Love Learning Music on the lives that we get to touch.

It may be hard to imagine that simply donating $20 per month will fully cover the cost of 1 child to be enrolled in the specialized programs that we provide. It’s true! When you count all the resources, the travel costs, the wages for expert teachers and therapists, and everything it only cost $210 for one child to be enrolled in our programs this past year. When you make a one-time gift of $100 or sign up for monthly donations of $20, you are directly contributing to children in need receiving the mentorship moments that will change their lives and their families’ lives forever. Here’s a look at exactly how your donations make a difference:

Giving $40 monthly will empower 2 siblings to enroll in therapy and education programs next year.
Giving $100 monthly will empower 10 children to enroll in consistent group classes next year.
Giving $150 monthly will empower 14 children to enroll in consistent group therapy programs next year.
Giving $200 monthly will provide the therapy and classroom resources, musical instruments, and technology devices necessary for all of the 26 children mentioned above.

How Does Giving Work?

Practically, we can accept donations any way you would prefer to give. The most ideal option is our donation platform provided by Zeffy. The software company covers all the transaction fees, and when you check out they ask you to donate to their company, but you can change that amount to “other” or “0%” and rest assured that 100% of your donation goes directly to Love Learning Music. You will immediately receive an email that confirms your donation and functions as a receipt for you. In that email, you will see a link to set up an account with Zeffy, that allows you to print out your donation receipts and manage monthly giving. I will also send out an annual giving summary in January so everyone has the total amount given to our non-profit this year for your tax purposes. Of course, 100% of donations to Love Learning Music are tax-deductible.

On a deeper level, the giving that we all do through Love Learning Music is having a profound positive impact on our lives as well as the children we serve. The most fulfilling thing that we can do as human beings is giving. Whether we give our time, our talent, or our treasure, giving is a deeply impactful thing that has power beyond what we can see.
