Who supported you during a tough time in your life?
Who supported you during a tough time in your life? We want to be there for those in need. Being there takes time and money. The Love Learning Music team has the time to serve, but we need the money to support those who need our services.
Raising Funds = Saving Lives
Have you had the chance to experience a Love Learning Music program in action? The photos and videos are helpful, but witnessing the impact first hand is irreplaceable! Parents, teachers, administrators, and volunteers often share feedback with Love Learning Music like, “you can see an immediate positive change in the children!” And, “I have never seen them focus, behave, and communicate this well!” Now, the Love Learning Music team of therapists, teachers, administrators, and volunteers are truly amazing! However, the real difference-maker is our recipe for success. It’s simple, we provide Love, Learning, and Music. Combine these three ingredients and the results are life changing, and often life saving.
Unfortunately, this recipe is for positive impact for children and families, but it is not a recipe for sustainable funding. The funding to provide Love Learning Music programs comes from many different sources, grants, church support, corporate donations, fundraiser events, and individual donations. About 70% of funding for non-profit organizations is individual donations.
As the Love Learning Music team is continuing to work hard for sustainable funding to help children and families in need, please consider contributing. There are so many creative ways to contribute like small monthly donations to support a child, or support a specific staff member in their life saving work, or doing a Facebook fundraiser on your birthday. The most important thing with contributing to the Love Learning Music mission is consistency. Please keep supporting the work we are doing as a team. Volunteers for fundraising efforts like a benefit concert, family festival, and future Gala event are needed right now. So jump in and help! Donations are always needed and always go directly to positively impacting the people we serve. Contact us today to find out more about how you can help change lives with the time and finances you have available. Thank You!
Fundraising Solutions! How Can You Help?
Here are some specific ways the Love Learning Music team is fundraising over the next year, and you are invited to contribute in creative ways.
Community Support-A-Child Team for ALL Businesses in Middle Tennessee:
Contacting businesses to share the opportunity to donate and support a specific child in need of therapy services is a win-win! We are actively reaching out to businesses to ask for support on behalf of the children we serve. Please connect those you know who manage or own a business to Love Learning Music so they can learn about the therapy work we are doing, and have the opportunity to help! Contact us today to make connections and find out more information!
Annual Events:
It’s no secret that an annual charity gala will generate significant funding for a non-profit organization. The secret is the amount of people with committed volunteer hours that it takes to make it a success. So what is possible in the realm of fundraiser events? Well, we can do a benefit concert, we are Love Learning MUSIC. We can do a Family Festival. These two events we have done in the past through partnership and a unified effort. If you are interested in contributing to any of these events please contact us today to learn more and discover what ways you can help!
Camp Fatima: Discovering How To Do Inclusive Musical Theater
I had the very distinct honor of being a volunteer at Camp Fatima Company’s first weekend. This New Jersey non-profit organization works with children and adults with special needs in a camp setting. I have been volunteering with this organization my whole life, but this weekend was special. Camp Fatima Company is intended for individuals 18-26 who have a passion for theater and we put on a full production of “The Lion King: Kids.” I was a performance partner, paired with an exceptional young lady playing the role of Nala. Claire is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and is non-verbal. While I said the lines and sang the songs, she did the sign language! It was beautiful to watch. The entire weekend was inspiring and I learned so much. It is my dream to create a musical theater/music therapy program for Love Learning Music, and this experience has given me an incredible amount of insight as to what it takes to make something like this happen. I can’t wait to see what is next in store!

Meeting Them Where They Are: VBS Camp at a Local Elementary School
The Love Learning Music Team has been working diligently on securing funding for an inclusive, in-school music therapy program to serve children with special needs, and/or behavioral challenges. The elementary school we are partnering with for this program has a majority population of minority students with ethnicities ranging around the world. To serve the students and families at this school, we joined together with our amazing partner, Pavilion church. They put on a VBS camp for the kids at the school! Setting up and tearing down a time machine inside a cafeteria everyday was difficult, but the results were life changing for the children! One of our amazing music therapists, Elena, led the children in discovering breathing techniques to calm down while singing a short, memorable song. They discovered new musical instruments, and how to use them. And most importantly, the children learned that they are loved and cared about by their local community. Thank you to all who contributed! The children and families that came were very encouraged and uplifted by the camp!
