Summer Ends with Care, Love, and of course, more music!
This year we want to give even more! Take a look at one of our One on One Music Therapy Sessions, with our Board Certified Therapist, Jamison!
A Season of Events
Rutherford Recovery Fest
On September 21, Love Learning Music participated in our second annual Rutherford Recovery Fest, where we had the opportunity to connect with community members and fellow vendors. The Recovery Fest is a family-friendly event designed to encourage, equip, and inspire personal growth. At our booth, we featured a 'musical petting zoo,' allowing attendees to explore a variety of percussion instruments while learning about our services. Two Love Learning Music families came out to volunteer to help Kaitlyn, our Program Director. Thanks to this event, we have gained amazing relationships that have led to volunteer help and program partnerships! We are grateful for another successful year and look forward to being part of this inspiring event again next year!
High Hopes Fall Festival
On October 3, Love Learning Music had the honor of participating in our first High Hopes Fall Festival, hosted by the High Hopes Development Center in Franklin, TN. This family-friendly event offers a range of activities and resources for children and families in the community. We were thrilled to be one of only ten community resources invited to participate! Our booth featured an expanded 'musical petting zoo,' where children could explore and learn about different instruments. Check out the photo below to see one of the kids in action with our team member, Philip!
AFP Conference
On October 20th, volunteers, families, and staff from Love Learning Music participated in the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) Annual Conference in Nashville, TN, partnering on a community giveback project. Conference participants collaborated to develop solutions to societal issues, leveraging the power of music to make a difference. They decorated guitar straps, wrote songs advocating for their chosen non-profit projects, and presented their pitches to a team of guest judges. The Love Learning Music kids stole the show, stepping in as surprise judges to choose their favorite project and decorated guitar. Each child received a guitar and an accessory kit as a special gift. Inspired by the creativity and impact, our team is motivated to continue exploring innovative ways to use music to address community needs. The conference participants were also moved by the work Love Learning Music is doing with families, and we were deeply honored to be the highlighted non-profit partner for this year’s AFP Conference. The generous donation of 15 guitars and accessory kits is a wonderful asset for the children and families we serve. Thank you for your support!
It is the season of thankfulness AND the Season of Giving! Many of us are fully aware of the joy that comes from giving generously. As we think about everything for which we are thankful, please be encouraged to donate once and consider monthly donations for Love Learning Music programming. The need that we are reaching together is vital for our communities; we need to help children and those in need to develop well and overcome their trials, and then they become the change makers that help all of us. As you consider giving during this season, you can rest assured that 100% of your donations will go directly to Love Learning Music programming. Some of the programs that are in dire need of funding include our one-on-one music therapy program for children who have suffered trauma, those with special needs, and any children who need an adaptive mentorship approach for their development. Also, our afterschool programs for underserved children desperately need funding. We have partnerships with schools and community partners to provide the programming; the limited funds prevent certain communities from receiving services. This limitation greatly affects our group music therapy programs as well. Consistent group music therapy is proven to improve all participants' social/emotional skills, confidence, and cognitive skills, no matter the difficulties they face in life. Please consider contributing directly to these programs today and certainly before the end of the year. Go to our donation page and submit your gift now. All donations are tax-deductible, and 100% expensed on the Love Learning Music programs
