Summer means Love, Care, and of course, more music!

In the heat of Summer, we are thankful for the life-changing success of all of the Love Learning Music programs. Check out some stories of our impact lately!
Summer Programs
This summer, Love Learning Music is making a significant impact on thousands of local youth by providing music education and music therapy programs. This expansive reach is thanks to our invaluable partnerships with East Nashville Hope Exchange, Black Lemonade, the Martha O'Bryan Center, Special Kids, and Metro Nashville Public Schools.
East Nashville Hope Exchange
For our second summer with East Nashville Hope Exchange, Love Learning Music provided group music therapy to their youth. Our board-certified music therapist, Jamie, led engaging sessions using sing-able books and literacy-focused music therapy interventions, which the youth thoroughly enjoyed!
Black Lemonade
Love Learning Music delivered two days of group music therapy to the youth attending Black Lemonade's summer camp. Board-certified music therapist Haley H. used music therapy techniques to help the youth recognize emotions, follow instructions, dance and move their bodies, practice sequencing, and more!
The Martha O’Bryan Center
This summer, Love Learning Music conducted two different music education programs for the Martha O'Bryan Center. Our teachers, Kevin and Gary, engaged middle school youth by teaching them about various instruments and even forming a band that included guitars, ukuleles, and drums. Additionally, Kevin taught elementary school youth about music fundamentals, incorporating instruments, movement, and rhythm. We have enjoyed returning for our second summer with the Martha O'Bryan Center!
Special Kids
This marks Love Learning Music's third summer providing group music therapy for the youth at Special Kids Camp Ability. We also expanded our partnership this summer to include music therapy with the youth at Special Kids Skilled Nursing. Our talented music therapists—Jamie, Haley H, Keely, and Haley S—focused on developing motor skills, rhythm, instrument play, and social skills with the youth.
Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS)
Finally, Love Learning Music partnered with the Metro Nashville Public Schools Promising Scholars summer school for our third consecutive summer. We provided music assemblies to over 2,000 students across nine different schools and offered music therapy and music education classes to students in their Extended Learning Program. Thank you, MNPS, for another successful summer in partnership with Promising Scholars!
Thank You to the Tennessee Arts Commission

We're thrilled to announce the successful completion of our 2025 grant cycle with the Tennessee Arts Commission! Their support enabled us to serve over 1,500 children in our community through various impactful programs.
Through the Arts Build Communities grant, we were able to provide our specialized Sensory Sessions to nearly 100 children, promoting engaging and inclusive music therapy experiences. Furthermore, with the assistance of the Arts Access grant, we reached over 1,400 youth through both group and 1-on-1 music therapy sessions, significantly expanding access to therapeutic support for families.
Stay tuned for more information regarding the 2026 grant cycle and how Love Learning Music, with the continued assistance of the Tennessee Arts Commission, plans to further expand our reach and impact in the community!
Community Support A Child Team Sales
Have you heard of the Community Support A Child Team? This initiative is allowing children who need therapy and mentorship to receive consistent services through the generous donations of businesses and individuals which cover the costs of the children’s services. It’s imperative that we extend this opportunity to as many businesses and individuals as possible. We have more and more children who need services, but the recent funding shortages in the non-profit sector are making it more and more difficult to fund the life-changing therapy and mentorship services.
Who do you know that our Founder and CEO, John, should be meeting with this year to share the opportunity to support a child? Please take 2 minutes to suggest anyone who owns a business, has a position of authority within a business, or generally has a passion for helping children in need. This form is safe and secure. John is progressively reaching out to people to share this opportunity. Of course, not everyone is in a position to help, and we believe that generosity is most helpful when coming from the heart and done with individual determination. We aren’t asking people to donate; we ask that everyone who has already determined to be generous consider donating to the children that we are serving.
The benefits of generosity are beyond measure. We are reaching vulnerable children and providing them with opportunities to overcome the trials they face and live happy, productive lives. What a bonus to get the best feeling from making a difference, AND getting tax deductions?!
