April Highlights
Check out what is new this month, and help us honor those who make it happen, with this quick video of one of our recent Sensory Sessions!
Sensory Sessions: Revisited
Sensory Sessions are finally back in session! We have been honored to be allowed the space and time to work with the community. On the listed dates we will be present to offer a free music therapy session for kids of any age, and specialized for children that may have sensory issues. These sessions are shown as just a minor stepping stone on how we are reaching out and making a difference in the community and in the lives of these children.
Community Outreach
Love Learning Music had the privilege of participating in our third NAZA (Nashville After Zone Alliance) Enhancement Partner Fair on Thursday, April 25th. At this event, Kaitlyn Carroll, our Program Director, and John Bosworth, our Executive Director, showcased Love Learning Music's impactful work to a diverse array of Nashville's community organizations, including Moves and Grooves, Why We Can't Wait, East Nashville Hope Exchange, and more! These partner fairs serve as invaluable platforms for fostering deeper connections within the community and expanding our outreach to those in need. It was an enriching experience to not only share our mission but also to engage with fellow organizations, forging potential collaborations and laying the groundwork for innovative programs that will greatly benefit the community.
Middle Tennessee Woodwind Orchestra’s ‘Dances by Lamplight’ Concert Event
On Thursday, April 5th, The Middle Tennessee Woodwind Orchestra (MTWO) performed the 'Dances by Lamplight' concert at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Nashville, TN, showcasing its innovative repertoire and vision under the direction of Logan Barrett, one of Love Learning Music’s talented instructors. As a pioneering woodwind orchestra, MTWO distinguishes itself by exclusively featuring flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone, omitting brass or percussion instruments. The concert highlighted this unique approach and emphasized the creation of new compositions, recognizing the scarcity of tailored repertoire for woodwind ensembles. This concert was made possible by grant funding from the Tennessee Arts Commission.
